Cd Recordings

During the first two weeks of October Change of Key visited the USA. They recorded the tracks of electric instruments for their upcoming new CD.
During their visit they contacted several people to find out if they are interested to work together with COK for this project.
Of course Doug DeForest (bass + piano) and Tim Crouch (fiddle, mandolin + acoustic guitar) participated again in this project.
The recordings were done at the Studio of Doug DeForest.

A beautiful place at Lake Paradise,
an oases of musical knowledge, peace and friendship.

Without those two guys the album would be totally different.

The songs Change of Key have written are so beautiful arranged by Tim & Doug, it is almost unbelievable….
Daniëlle said as a matter of speaking: ‘You give your children to somebody to dress them up and you hope it will work out’
In our case, it worked out perfect!!

Robbie Springfield let his pedal steel cry again and his telecaster sound is just the way we hoped for.

Kenny Loggains, drums and percussion….. Doug said to us when we talked things over for this project: ‘You will agree with me, Kenny is the man for the job’!!

And he was, this man can make music with his drum kit, he feels exactly what a song needs.

Shall we reveal a little about the other players… ok just two for now.

Jeff Taylor from The Time Jumpers plays accordion and for now, and on one song Randy Khors plays dobro.

This coming month, the lead vocal of Daniëlle, harmony’ vocals of Marijke, Daniëlle, Joop, &… (you never can tell) and also some additional parts will be recorded in our home studio.

And then, the most difficult part, mixing and mastering..

That takes a lot of time and patience…Fortunately Joop has enough of this.

Together with Doug he will take care of this part.  As we all agree:
‘the road to the finish has to be as nice as to reach it.’

So our intentions are to enjoy it as much as we can!
